I wear bicycle gloves with the gel inserts. Lots of guys tonight did the "Fran Up and Down" tonight which is this:

21 - 15 - 9 - 15 - 21 reps

Thrusters (95/65)
Pull-ups

Those pull-ups ripped up palms for sure..one guy's hands were so bloody that everyone flinched. Just not worth it to me. Gloves are a must.

Tonight was pull ups, k2e, deadlifts, clean and jerks. All played well with my hands that were finally healing.

Oh..I found out that our coach encourages us to come up with WODs to share so me and my buddy "test ran" one that we created. We practiced this before doing tonight's Fran x2

3 rounds of
12 Walking push-ups
24 full situps
12 pull-ups (strict)
12 35 lbs KB swings
12 Knee to Elbow

It was a success and they'll probably implement that soon.

I know of it. It's about 4 miles from me. What's the coaches name?

As for your hands, shave your calluses, use tape when needed, and if you use chalk use it sparingly.

If he's 200+lbs and deadlifting 400lbs then it might make sense.. people can get hurt if they dont read the directions!

Russ Roberts. His brother Cliff, from our box up here, had their shirt on was talking about it. Figure I'll check it out when I'm down in Houston later this year.

Going for 6 days a week. Morning Xfit session today. Lets see how this feels and if I miss that 2 day break.

After warmups I did the 35 lb kettle bell overhead as many times as possible. Last week I got 130, this time 150.
