Worked up to 115x5 on overhead press. This workout is so deceptive because you finish up your money exercise in like 10 minutes.

Then its 5 sets of 15 (or as many as you can manage) of dips and 5 sets of 10 for chins. The supporting exercises are MUCH more tiring than the main one, however I love the simplicity. 3 exercises a workout and thats it. You bring the motivation.

Now I'm about to dive into a big bowl of chicken breast/thighs, veggies and sweet potatoes.

Set some PR's today in they gym. I put up 225# in a push press, and DL'ed 475. I may just hit that 550 # DL goal this year after all...

Noice, 225 is a solid push press! Has to feel good to put 4 wheels overhead.

Yeah,it did feel great! I was getting some stares and people looking in disbelief when I pressed more over my head than most bench press.

Today was deads. Was feeling a bit not into it but warmup on the concept 2, then one round on the heavy bag got me ready. I was midway into the deads when this came on the playlist.

YouTube - ‪Marilyn Manson The Reflecting God‬‏

I'm one of those people that needs to work out angry. Starts out somewhat slow, if you want FF to 1:20. Not everyone likes MM, but this is still about the most perfect aggressive workout song I know of.

I guess music is one of those overlooked things, but its HUGE for me.

I pick a hard song, hit the genius button on my ipod, and go to work. Or I just play a certain "gym" playlist, and that is all I need to get the blood flowing. Plus I think of things that make me really mad and I let that fuel my lifting and intensity.

SoCal's gym playlist.

Neal Sedaka
Johnny Mathis
Perry Como

And just to be a bit edgy, Wilson Picket!

A push press is a standing overhead shoulder press with a slight dip before pushing the weight up. 225 was my best yet, but I think I could have done around 250. I did 5 sets before that.

Dana, I prefer some Sinatra, a little Ray Charles, and some Little Richard. Wopbopaloobopawopbopbop!!!
