I bet this car runs circles around everything in its class. As an entry level machine, I am stoked to see what they have to offer down the line.

Imagine a lightweight, stripped out LM version with 700bhp!

For comparison, the published weight figure on the 458 Italia is 3,042 lbs dry. Hard to argue that 176 lbs won't be a noticeable difference.

Even if it isn't a featherweight like the F1, I am pleased to see that McLaren obviously remained focused on a low weight target for this car.

Another point I'll add is there is an 18 mph advantage in the quoted top speed figures for the MP4-12C versus the 458 Italia. While top speed is generally more for bragging rights than anything else, that tells me that the McLaren has slipperier aerodynamics than the 458 given that their power differences aren't all that large.

Wow that's very impressive. Are there any figures on the acceleration yet?

Aside from the opinions, I can't wait for a beautifully shot, head to head test on Top Gear between the 458 and MP4.

I get a hint of.....

Though I do think this is a awesome looking car and will be a beast. With how crazy modern super/hypercars are getting this will be the more subtle badass.
