quite a boring design borrowing elements from an array of different autos. after all these years of waiting this is what they come up with? weak.

should have let gordon murray design it.

teflon is an unknown quantity at this point
Terrible. I expected so much more from McLaren, but I'm not surprised that it appears they failed to deliver.

while I agree...you dont seem to recall the similarities in many other auto's stemming from the original F1...there's a reason this apple didnt fall too far from the tree aesthetically from what ive read. The original F1 surely wasnt as cutting edge visually when it was released compared to say the pininfarina designed F50. I'm sure they wont disappoint with whats under the hood and performance, which is what really matters..

I am going to reserve judgement until it is released and reviewed by a few reputable media sources. Looks aside, I am sure that McLaren wouldn't put its name on a car unless it embodies many of the qualities that made the F1 a benchmark automobile and a timeless classic.

Looks like a Modena had a three-way with a mazda 3 and a Lotus and this is their offspring

Looks a lot like the new F458 from the front, just uglier

Cool

I really, really like it. McLaren has a pretty good track record with their previous road car effort (you might have heard of it... ), so I'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.

It's very clear that they set out to build the benchmark car in the category that includes the V8 Ferrari (430/458), the Gallardo/Gallardo successor, etc., rather than build a new F1. And I think they have achieved their goal.

Can't wait for the Evo twintest of the 458 and the Macca.
