I always warm up but never stretch before my workouts. I stretch after if I feel the need to, especially after back workouts or legs. Stretching after a long jogging run is a must though if you don't want to walk around like you got raped in the ass the following day.

The stretch/warm up debate has been going on forever and will continue. My take is do what works for you. If you can get through whatever exercises and activities you do at 100% effort without injury, lucky you, by all means carry on.

No one can really say with full conviction that stretching/warming up will guarantee no injury. I do feel regular stretching and warming up can't be bad and they do help mobility which should be important to everybody that moves.

I have the solution: Stretch before and after. Problem solved.

That is one way to look at it. If it works for you, do it.

That's a damn nice place to run. Must feel great too running with the VFFs in the sand.

Yeah, no joke there. I run in regular shoes on the beach, for that very reason.
