That is one of the interesting thing about these shoes. You are a more focused runner. You become more focused about where you place your foot, as if you were literally running with nothing on you feet. And on top of that, you are forced into running the way that your body wss intended to run; that being with your legs as the shock absorbers, not your shoes.

I trail run primarily, I've only had one street run on the VFFs and it wasn't a lot of fun. You'd need some conditioning for sure for it to be comfortable. I had no problems with rocks but I avoided large gravel piles.

Slacked off while I was down south. Back at it tomorrow morning. Can't wait. Always feel great after morning workouts.

Did the overhead press thing again yesterday. 5x40, 45, 50 lb DBs. This weekend with moving to our new place I'm gonna get my squat rack back! And with spring here I'm gonna put it in the back yard, love outdoor workouts!

ok so i am starting to get really discouraged with CROSSFIT! I find myself to be a pretty smart guy who catches onto things (especially sports) pretty quickly, but some of these moves i just can not get the hang of! it's getting to the point that it's affecting my performance during class! Maybe i am too proud, but will i ever get over this HUMP... i know i have only been doing this for 2 weeks, but COME ON MAN!

Today's WOD

AMRAP in 15 mins of:
15 clean&jerks (#115/65) Could not get the whole "process" and had to split into Clean....Then seperate JERK
15 kb swings (#53/35)
20 lunges

Went through the same thing. I have always caught onto different sports and motions with little trouble, but snatches and a few of the kettlebell movements have given me trouble long after they should.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
If you are having problems doing it with the Rx'd weight, use a pvc pipe or a wooden dowel until you are comfortable with the movement. Or ask for some one-on-one training.
