Lol, when you said 10lbs each arm I assumed you were speaking dumbbells....

On a side note think I'm going to head down to the local crossfit gym and see what all the talk is about. Wonder what kind of magic they can do in 6 weeks.

EddieC, keep the milk, cut out the Cheerios and swap them for steel cut oats and egg whites. Just my $0.02.

Did a triplet yesterday, 5 rounds for time.

225# DL x 5
30" box jumps x 10
Pullups x 5

Took me about 10 minutes. I was going really slow and watching form on my DL's, as I hurt my back about a month ago. Good times.

Made a large pot of steel cut oats yesterday with a couple tablespoons of flax meal and oat bran. I added a little pumpkin spice, cinnamon and nutmeg then finished it with a cup of almond milk. I made a blueberry and strawberry compote Sunday morning that I will use as a "sweetener". Yummmmm!

That's how I do it. I make enough to eat for a week at a time. I don't have the spices over here, so that will go on the list for the next time I come over here. I put blueberries and cranberries in mine, with 2 tbsps of extra virgin olive oil and a light drizzling of honey. That compote sounds great, and almond milk FTW!

You guys are in love with the steel cut oats for some reason? They take for ****ing EVER to cook! You like the texture or what? I know there are debates for days on "fitness" blogs by fat guys who are sure steel cut gives them superpowers but I like regular quick oats. Same grain, rolled and cut smaller.

I think "steel cut" is a "fad" like super smoothies and many other stuff put out by Men's health,fitness,etc.... Reg oats are perfect!

Steel cut oats take longer to make yes, but they are proven to have increased properties when it comes to carbohydrate absorption and insulin regulation. Yes, they are AWESOME, in other words.
