What do you think an ideal BMI is? I'm at 14% right now, I still have weight in my tire that I want to lose. Wondering if 8-10% is unhealthy...

Well...I'm no doctor but a BMI of 14 is VERY un-healty . Don't you mean body fat?

I think BMI is a decent way to benchmark where you are, but it is a very flawed system based off of old statistics. I am 6'3" and 230 and it says that my health is in dire shape. But I am pretty damn solid, and have a BF of under 12%. I think you are good to go there Jon, and from the pics I have seen of you, you need to eat more and pack some muscle on there.

These are all figures taken from wikipedia so I'd take them with a grain of salt but I guess they're just as accurate as the next "healty-eating-diet-exercise-gym-lose-fat"-site;

Description Women Men
Essential fat 10-13% 2-5%
Athletes 14-20% 6-13%
Fitness 21-24% 14-17%
Average 25-31% 18-24%
Obese 32%+ 25%+

Those are pretty accurate BF numbers IMO.

Diet is everything man. You can't outwork a bad diet; period.

Unless you are on some pretty expensive steroids.

I haven't been doing much exorcise since mid-end of January. Laziness and school work to blame, but mostly laziness. Recently I had been feeling down and have had trouble sleeping and overall feeling liks a POS. So I decided to get back into things and I hit CrossFit thursday, Friday, and today. Damn do I feel it. Seems worse than when I started CrossFit the first time last year... and I love it. It's a great group of people and a great set up. More importantly though I feel just plain amazing the rest of the day. I'm in a great mood the whole day. I sleep perfectly, going to bed between 10 and midnight and waking up about 730.

Endorphins=winning. Just ask Charlie Sheen. He generates those false endorphins all day long every time he takes a bump.

So your saying I should start banging out 7 gram rocks before every workout right?
