It wasn't actually that bad, just the fact that it's been almost 7 months since I was doing CrossFit before. Need to be reconditioned. Back at it tomorrow.

Ok, so I tried a high fat/low carb diet for a few weeks as suggested in the Taubes book. Take home points:

The fat helps you get enough cals and makes you feel full.
Low carb is always good for cutting weight/fat.
Not enough energy for an active lifestyle.

Back to my regular whole grains and lean meats, I felt instantly better and less drained.

Gonna have to hit the gym hard, I've been on vacation and only went for 1 run so far (since dec 21st)... I'm keep telling myself that a little rest is a good thing.

I did the keto diet when I hit a plateau in my weight loss.. it helped me drop a couple of KGs but I felt so awfully drained.. Its not healthy for extended periods of time..

WOD today....it was BRUTAL...especially the 200m backward run in the wet and dark with two speed bumps in the way! I managed to finish it in 9:15 minutes!

It is just me or is Crossfit mostly a west coast thing? I haven't seen much of it on the East.

I know NY, Florida, Houston, Michigan, and Chicago have a number of CrossFit gyms, but the movement is largely west coast based.
