I think Bosh "just wanted to chill" on that last possession guarding Dirk. Horrible D.

You guys need to understand that when you constantly make snide comments about Lebron (plenty throughout this thread) there are going to be responses from people who like the guy and think he is great player and yes COULD better that MJ.

Connor, I too was shocked... Why would Bosh even cover him? Haslim is a much better defender and even more so there super star Lebron has the size to guard him as well... Not sure why, but I expected LBJ to cover Dirk a lot more, espcially in the 4th quarter. I know Dirk is a MUCH better shooter than D.Rose, but the fact that LeBron rendered him useless in the last series was just so impressive.

Yup, dirk should have been wrapped up the second he made that spin move, hell even if he gets 2 FT's it atleast leaves 2 seconds more on the clock (assuming he makes #2) allowing a better shot to end te game.

Game 3 should be great, Dallas is going to be going NUTS.

Anthony, the reasons for the hate for LeBron have been made very clear and they have nothing to do with how great of a player he is. My only problem with already mentioning him among the upper pantheon of all-time NBA greats is that IMHO he has not done enough in his career to warrant such high praise. Is he one of the top two or three players in the league right now? - Absolutely! Is he already one of the best of all time? - seems to be well on his way, but has a ways to go. We all have our criteria for determining greatness within respective sports. Mine happen to be consistency over a long period of time layered in with performing at their best when the game is on the line in the games that matter the most.

There has been plenty of Kobe bashing, and although he is not my favorite player of all time, he is a Laker and has already established himself as one of the greatest players of all time. His actions off the court have been childish, immature and highly questionable, but he seems to have wolfed down a very large slice of humble pie in recent years. His best years are definitely behind him, but he is still one of the most devistatingly effective players in the NBA. If Eric Spoelstra had Kobe on his team, I think we all know who would get that shot with 3 seconds left to beat Dallas last night.

Now if y'all want to start tearing into Magic Johnson, the the gloves will come off.

We have a series tied at one game a piece with lots of interesting things to talk about. The NBA finals thread last year for the Lakers vs. Celts was among the most fun and best threads in my time on TS. It was full of posts from lots of different members. This year, anyone venturing in here, besides the few who have been posting lately, have been treated to bickering, below the belt shots and unnecessary personal attacks (myself included on all of the above). No wonder this thread has essentially become a bickering thread for a few people. In last year's thread, there was plenty of bashing of Kobe, KG, Pau and don't get me started on Pierce (if you guys think I hate on Lebron, you should hear what I think of Pierce )

How about we try to keep things to the game, the coaching decisions, the players, etc and not insult people's intelligence for not liking the same players.

There is time to rescue this thread.

That was one hell of a game of basketball. Excuse the delayed reaction, had to record the game and watched it last night. Wade asking for the foul after the final siren was pretty funny. LeBron arguing and jumping up and down on every foul call was just annoying. Why on God's green they went with BOSH on Nowitzki for the final possession - I'll truly never know.

I wonder what's going to happen in Dallas!?
