I'm surprised they didn't make it 4WD and put in cup holders.
How much does it weigh?

Probably more "soul" or "driving character" I would surmise.

Reports so far have it coming in at sub 1400kgs, or probably slightly less than 3,000 lbs. I think final numbers for the production version are still a ways off.

I typically prefer high strung normally aspirated engines over those with forced induction. Linear power, less complexity, and less heat generated among other reasons.

Because it follows McLaren's heritage more closely, imo.

No, I mean like at which car show will it be shown for the first time in flesh for the crowd. I heard that it won't be on the IAA in Frankfurt.

Turbo motor = more power from lower weight. Turbo technology has gotten to the point where lag is non-existent and power delivery is linear. A 3.8 turbo motor with 600 hp is also going to deliver a good slug or torque at lower rpms as compared to a highly strung NA motor. It would take at least 5.5 litres if not a 6 litre v-12 to produce the kind of power this 3.8 TT v-8 is making, resulting in considerably more weight.
