Yeah, I'm not opposed to crossfit's style or anything. I think it would have fit me very well in my 20's when I wasn't so beat up. And I do like doing something different from time to time. Like my recent KB experiment it's fun to be relatively "good" at strength training but get humbled by a small amount of weight applied in another way.

BTW-I forgot to mention that I'm on a weight gain plan. Typically when I do this I get sick and it derails my eating. Like clockwork I got a cold after 1 week of eating big. I powered through it though, so far in the first month I'm up 9 lbs. 165 to 174.

And yes, some of it is fat. That's the roughest part for me as I'm used to being really lean. Whatever though, I'm married and not living walking distance to a beach anymore. I'm gonna get swole.

Goal is not to get stronger but to get back into the shape i was in 2 years ago pre shoulder got busted, 79kg, and 8-9%BF mesured with kaliper.

Atm im eating mainly chicken/white fish/rise/taters and LOADS of nuts + some sups.

125x2 is impressive, especially for 74kg BW!

Crossfit was taken outside today and it was great.

20 minute AMRAP:
10 power snatches
1 butcher sled push across the parking lot
10 squats
1 sand bag run back across

The snatch has the best name ever for a lift, but it is friggin hard.

I'm trying to cut for the Summer, so that being said, I'm trying to change my routine up.

Yesterday was my first day doing deadlifts since nearly a year ago when I pulled out my lower back. I stuck to a low weight (barbell + 2x25lbs) just to make sure I perfected my form. I still don't think it's perfect, but it's something I'll have to continuously work on.

As far as the major change in the program goes... I'm debating whether or not I should do a GVT [German Volume Training] program or a HST program for cutting. I'm not positive of my current BF%, but I'm assuming it's something around 12-14%. Ideally I'd like to get to 7-10%. I'm 5'10 and currently weight 174lbs.

Anyone have an expertise on this? I'm assuming slackr...
