I ordered assault yesterday. Now you've got me worried I won't sleep if I take it for my 5:30 p.m. WOD.

I usually work out in the AM, and the pre-workout helps we wake up. But I've used it at 5pm before and didn't have any sleep issues. It's just caffeine that's the stimulant, and one scoop is roughly the same as a cup of coffee. If you drink a coffee at 5pm are you up at 1am? If so your caffeine tolerance is pretty low and you should drink more coffee.

I figured 5pm would be early enough, having 6 hours for it to wear off.

Crossfit is from 530-630, I'll usually leave for it around 5 or so.

I'd much rather prefer working out in the AM, but my schedule wont allow it. Coffee wont keep me up if I drink one at 10pm or if I've been drinking it all day. Although, I haven't had any coffee recently but I still don't think my tolerance would drop that much and allow the supplement to have that much of an affect.

Also, it was no-explode that I used, just fyi.

I would seek an alternative to the BSN stuff. Lots of fillers/dyes etc.

Honestly, I'll probably just avoid it all together. I don't need it, I just figured I had a slow day yesterday so it was a good time to try it out.

There are vast benefits to using a pre-workout supplement. Especially in terms of consistency and if you want to add muscle.

To me it just doesn't feel right. I prefer to put as little of stuff like that as I can into my body. I'll probably do a little research on it and see whats what.
