I used to be the biggest cheerleader (and possible buyer) of the next GT2RS.
After seeing how Porsche has handled the launch of the GT3 - nice looks but no Sport Buckets, etc... And now the launch of the disaster that I call the 991 Turbo, I am having second thoughts.
Not to mention where the 918 and the possible 960 (if it is even in the pipeline) will fit into the performance ladder.
A 700hp+ GT2RS with a Tri-turbo 991 GT3 based engine & lightened would smoke a 918. Will they build it? Doubt it. If they base it off the 991 GT3, maybe it would justify the crazy price they will indeed charge for it. If they base it off the 991 Turbo, no way in hell it will be special enough.
If I had AP's job, I'd hand the world a GT2RS worthy of it's rightfull place: second only to a McLaren P1 for about $300K.
