991 GT3 rs?

I reckon they will do a 991 GT2 with the A91 turbo engine running around 530 to 550PS with the car having all the new tech GT3 bits inc the new fancy programmed PDK, it should "look" spectacular if this new GT3 is anything to go by !
I personally don't think they will do a 991GT2RS, of course being Porsche they like to milk every single profit opportunity with as many niche models as they can squeeze but the GT2RS really was a "skunkwerks" project like the GT3 4.0 which were supposed to be the run out models of the Mezger era....
Having said that Porsche could just strap some carbon on here and there, put on different wheels and spoilers and call it an RS, the trouble will be when they try and match or beat the 620PS of the Mezger engine, this will be the stumbling block for the A91...

...Porsche said 960 in 458 territory...so for me thats around 200K €. Used C-GT prices are around 300-to 350 for good ones..Im interested in the 960..but not at 300 or more..the I would buy directly the mighty C-GT..which is still on my list anyway..

im with you jumping horse, but when you look at the priceing a 991gt2rs will be heading towards £180,000 plus when it hits the road, most of the parts they will already have from the parts bin of gt3 and turbo!! so a brand new model from the get go wont be 458 money, even though it will be its natural competitor, i know we all value these cars on performance but weather it be 0/60 in 3.5 or 3.3 does that really come into it at that level, for me it has to stir the soul and click the visual box , as well as the performance, it maybe not be carrera gt money, but more f12, aventador priceing and with a spec see it around the £280,000 mark, seems to be a lot of customers that can reach that figure in the uk,sits right in the middle of the brand far enough away without damageing 911 sales, but not silly money as the 918!! still beleive that will be the car that will headline gt racing ,as the years go by and the 911 cant go any further, only a guess but who knows, i for one was hopeing for it to be 458 money, ive had a letter in now for 18 months, think id be going for the aventador for the wow factor if spending that sort of dollar, or gt3rs and the new gallardo( best of both worlds)for the same cost!!

thanks for yoru throughts..yes--if there will be a 991 GT2RS..your pricing makes sense. However, will there be a 991 GT2 or 991 GT2RS? Not so sure..What if Porsche stopped at the 991 GT3RS..and then only offers 960 or 918 above it. If the 960 is priced corretly..it could sell well-alsi in numbers. Keep in mind that the 997 and 996 GT2...were not giving the sales Porsche hoped for..
