Nope - gear ratios are defined by the number of physical teeth on each gear - not affected by software tuning. Would need to buy all new gears (might have to be done as a custom one-off exercise) - many thousands of dollars to do it right as a Close-Ratio box ala GT3 PDK (well into 5 figures)...

Basically what it boils down to is trying to convert a 991 GT3 to a manual is like trying to convert a guy you're in love with to a woman.

It's just a hell of a lot easier to fall in love with a real woman in the first place. (997 GT3 bitches!)

 

You can't compare a 997 gt3 to a c2s 991 , they are different cars Ith different philosophy. The gt3 has a complete different bumper and set up . You have much much more feeling of the road and at the end you will find 2 differents cars .

 

lets hope andreas and his team make the new 991rs as good looking as the new rsr! and make it stand alone! not just a gt3 with a paint and sticker job,more so now the stock gt3 has the wider body...it deseves the cosmetic detail as well as the tech stuff

I dont see right reason for doing that kind of additional modification. GT3 RS will be extreme version of GT3, but not that much extreme GT2 RS could be wider than GT3 & GT3 RS since that will be almost 700 HP car.

 

can only see the body getting wider with cosmetic fender extensions as the rsr has, there will be front fender/wing arches as we saw on the 997/4.0 rs. i think a lot of people would like to see the rear fender extensions to give it that extra presence over the gt3,with a wider track base.they could use that set up and look for both the rs models!the only thing that would concern uk customers would be how big and wide the car will be with our little roads and dodgeing pot holes 4 inches deep in places after a nightmare winter and its still snowing in april!!!

 

So we'll have the NB, the WB, and then the EWB (extra-wide-nody), and then the SEWB for the 991 RSR?

 

Rsr is based on WB .
But from the information I,have turbo and RS will have a super WB larger ....
Not only with addition of small parts of plastic ....
