Is there a reason why they can't make them in actual AL?

Edit: I'm a retard, and didn't read the last page.

Glad to hear everything is OK!

Hahahaha That's great. I'm glad it wasn't something serious. Next time the CEL comes on check the gas cap, screw it on again, and drive for a few miles.

The aluminum cap is actually TOO heavy and would offset the hp gain

You guys laugh, but I actually had that cap on my old Carrera S...

I CANNOT believe that it was my gas cap... I checked it again (I had to fill up on Ventura Blvd.) and it seems impossible to cross-thread it. Oh well, at least we're on the road again. We drove from Oceanside to Burbank (where I grew up), so if any of you Burbank-area peeps are around, let me know. We're linking up with my buddy who is an LASO Homicide Detective and a friend of mine for almost 20 years.

Not many pics, but I did run down this really pretty 911 on our way out of Oceanside:

We're off to Monterey first thing tomorrow morning. I need to get some breakfast burritos at the Corner Cottage first, but then it's on. We'll probably stop near SLO or maybe Santa Barbara. If we can get there and get settled, I might have time to get up to see Sharky at Sharkwerks later in the day or maybe Wednesday morning.

Thanks for looking (and keeping the ridicule to a minimum!)

Were you able to put the cap back on the tube of toothpaste this morning without cross-threading it?
