The rotors lasted somewhere in the region of 30+ track days, and around 50 laps of the ring.

But if it damages the PCCB in the process, then to me it's not worth it.

What warranty do you expect to get on the PCCB rotors ???

Can hardly say the Pagids have damaged the rotors if I used 7-8 sets, and got 30+ track days on them !!!

You'd have to burn through a LOT of pads to make up for the $8k premium PCCBs run. I hate salespeople.
Whats the point of saying that in this thread?

When PCCB first came out on the GT2, people who thought they knew better put race pads that were meant for iron rotors and tracked their cars.

Then they discovered that by doing so they wrecked their 10K per axle rotors. I have seen them, the delamination, the gauging, etc.

It's not about warranty, but what the item was designed to do, especially when it's not designed to work with ceramic products.

Oh and in the U.S. they have warranted PCCB's from time to time, if and only if OEM PCCB specific pads were used.

The 996 generation PCCB's were just not upto the job of tracking In the 1st place, I know many GT2+3 owners that saw their rotors fall apart on standard pads. These people tried very hard to get Porsche to court for mis selling, as the brochure at the time clearly stated that the brakes were designed for 'motorsports'

I also know of people that have been running standard pads on 997 PCCB for as many track days as me, that have worn their discs earlier than I have, so I'm sorry, I just can't see the downside I have suffered by running pagids, when I have clearly had a huge amount of use out of them.
