Why does freakin' Tag Heuer always get dragged into these discussions? Jesus crist.

I'm gonna go enter some Ferrari FXX threads and suggest that people look into a Hyundai Coupé.

I'm not trying to be rude, but if you weren't able to comfortably afford the 5K-10K (which is quite a big margin, you're talking double) before reaching your accomplishment, then I think you're spending beyond your means.

Treat yourself to something that you could've purchased easily before hitting that goal, yet never was able to pull the trigger.
i think he just wants someone to ask him what his "great accomplishment" was.

Perhaps the "great accomplishment" is a gift of $10k from Grandma for finishing high school with good grades

The people on this forum who know me know what the great accomplishment is. I am just not comfortable sharing it with everyone on this forum.

I don't really think anyone was really asking what your accomplishment was.

GLN, you're right but I just feel like people are trying to nitpick everything I say. When starting this forum I simply just wanted advice on watches in that price range. I'm not trying to be some poser looking cool because I am thinking about buying a nice watch. I just simply wanted advice as I know there are a lot of watch guys on this forum. Sorry for the little rant, but can we please just get back to the topic which was watches. Thanks

if i was you, i would take that money and invest it in a condo or some mutual fund.

since you have decided to buy the watch anyway, i would take the Rolex sub too.

i have a friend who has a Rolex that his grandfather bought.

jmusser - you have a legit gripe. You asked a simple question and wanted some good advice about what watch to buy for a certain price range. In return, you got tons of unsolicited advice and a bunch of sh!t, along with some brilliant advice about what watch to buy (Submariner ).

TS can be a tough crowd sometimes, but its all in good fun. Look at it this way, at least you are probably getting laid on a semi-regular basis unlike some other people posting in this thread (cough..GLN...cough) and you are not the butt of constant gay jokes like Jox.

Please post pics of your new purchase, whatever it turns out to be.
