Agreed, but in the same manner you pay to play with sports cars, guns, or anything else mechanical for that matter, my expectation would also include regular maintenance as part of the ownership experience. On uniqueness alone I'd probably rock it, but would prefer to first understand how the brand and engineering behind the piece is commensurate of that price tag.

Absolutely agreed, but I guess my point is "who is Devon Works" and will they be around to provide replacement parts in 10 years or am I stuck with a $15,000 watch that nobody can repair?

They only have a very basic website:

Haven't heard about the company before so I guess they are pretty new in the business. Regarding the wear and tear, I do think they would supply you with spare parts if something went wrong.

it's cool but there are a ton of other watches i would get in this range
