Coolest watch I've seen! - The Tread 1

I just found pictures of the watch by Devon Works and I was amazed by the revolutionary design! Who came up with displaying the time in a way like this? It's like a bunch of conveyor belts crossing over each others in a complex way and I just love it! The downside is that I don't have $15k... :(

That's so cool. I wish it had an exhibition caseback though.

I'd rather have an Urwerk.

So is it water tight? looks like many edges to catch on stuff, hope it is robust, looks very cool though ...

What if I told you it's even bullet proof?!

From their website
"The new CONCEPT wristwatch from Devon Works with WIRELESS battery charging. The just announced timepiece is comprised of four 2-micron thin belts each operated by an individual microstep electric motor. An optical recognition system tracks the the status of each belt at all times to ensure extreme precision. The tiny motors are powered by a lithium polymer rechargeable cell that holds enough power to keep the Thread 1 active for two weeks at a time.

But not just any rechargeable battery as the box of the Thread 1 may feature integrated wireless technology, meaning there are no chords required. Yes, wireless battery charging. Even the crystal is temperature-compensating and even transmits data to an aerospace-designed microprocessor.

EXTRA: The watch is also BULLET PROOF.

Three of the four belts come to rest under a floating view-plate to indicate the time, while the seconds belt is continuously moving below. The pulley system is completely free of lubricants, requiring no lubrication.

And the PRICE is approximately $15,000 later this year."
