Fellow TS watch enthusiasts. I am currently considering adding a dressy, dive watch to my collection. IMHO, the classic SS Rolex Sub w/date is perfection in that category, but is too small for my "BigE" sized wrists. Even the Deep Sea looks too small on me. If Rolex only made a 44 or 45mm sub....

I am currently considering either the Omega Planet Ocean XL (45mm) and the Breitling SuperOcaean Heritage 46. Both in non-chrono. My preferred color is blue for both, with black being the second choice. Thoughts on one vs. the other.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
The 45.5 Planet Ocean in all-black is my next watch, so I would say get that one. It feels great on the wrist, and I regret not buying it when I had the chance. The SuperOcean 46 is a very nice piece too IMO, but I don't prefer mesh bracelets or the rubber straps that come with them.

E. I think the Planet Ocean will work better as a dressy piece...
(if you are looking at these two)

E. I like the PO best. In case you didn't know, the new deep sea sea dweller is 44mm

Panerai!

Can anyone here speak on the price differences between European MSRP, and North American MSRP for watches?

I'll be on a long European vacation this summer, might be a nice time to pick up a souvenir.
