The new lum tec 300s, has anyone got on yet? 40mm looks sharp. To Pvd or not to...

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
PVD man; do it. I want the 45mm XL in SS; I already have a PVD Combat B16 and the Super Combat has a lighter coat.

I said it in the earlier thread, if you want a 40mm let me know. I'll go $50 under list.

This one will be arriving in two weeks, can't wait. The ardoise dial with the red gold is killer in person.

There's something that looks off about them. I think the bracelets are too wide at the lugs, making them (the lugs) look oversized, bulky, thus taking your eye away from the face. If it was 22mm for the XL and 20mm for the reg. I think it would look much sharper. Either that, or cut down on the lug to lug measurement.

I agree - not sure what kind of longevity these new ones will have.

You think there is something wrong with the 40mm, 45mm or just the style in general. I am really loving the "sapphire sandwich" Speedmaster professional, but one thing, for a bracelet watch, 50m water resistance is kinda weak.

Not so much the styling, just the proportions of the lugs to the face I guess.

Re: Speedmaster, everyone knows my bias towards Omega's, but my simple explanation is, think of when the case was designed - 1957. Not many divers being designed at the time, certainly not chronographs.

50m WR to me means you can wash the dishes, or get it splashed on the boat. If you want to go swimming, diving or water skiing with the thing, find a watch with a screw down crown.
