I have to agree Peter Luger is amazing for steak and is probably my favorite in NY

I'm sure I will get flamed for this, but wifey and I were in NY 2 years ago and ate at Del Frisco's.... Between the amazing wine, tasty steaks, and the BEST creamed spinach (had bacon in it) EVER, we both left with nothing but HIGH praises for Del Frisco's... The ambiance is just awesome too.

some of the places mentioned in this thread are more "authentic" new york steakhouses and i think thats what people gravitate towards.

Jamie, I do not know how the steak is, but I had a seafood dish with my Fiance at Club Macanudo. With my dinner, I had a Fuente Fuente Opus X, she had an Ashton Robusto. It is a great place, and is right up your alley.
