NY Sushi & Steak

Heading to NY next week and looking for some ideas of restaurants

Sushi- We are more into the trendy stuff (sorry) like rolls,sashimi,etc..
We are hoping for an amazing atmosphere and FRESH fish

Steak- We are big steak and wine fans! Would love a Hip place with an amazing wine list and steak!

We eat out a lot and find that atmosphere can sometimes make a decent meal seem great, with that said we would love any help in finding BOTH great food and wonderful feel

Thanks

Gallaghers is right around broadway and has been there forever..great dry aged staek

Peter Lugers has great steak also, it may be a little more expensive , but definitley worth it..and they only take cash

Lugers is in Manhattan? Hmm, news to me and the rest of the world (they are in Brooklyn, always have been).

Gallaghers isn't worth mentioning.

Lugers, Del Frisco, Strip House, Wolfgangs in that order for steak.

Sushi, well how much do you want to spend? Bond St is a cool place with great fish and not too expensive. Masa is probably the best, but a little too pricey for most (~$400-500 pp)

Are you sure about that? Luger's has a place in Brooklyn (obviously) and Great Neck (Long Island).
