As an update, I got to shoot with the barska yesterday. So far its performing as expected. Direct mount with no riser needed. Super easy to sight in, reticle goes from BRIGHT to very dim. Only one reticle and one color, but for my purposes it doesn't matter. Holding zero and hits whatever its pointed at. We ended up doing 150 yard shooting and it performs just as well.

I also shot my friend's serbian AK with a 2.5-16x50mm scope. LOL! I have no idea why he has that scope on an AK, but it makes me appreciate how much better put together and accurate an AR is.

 

So the Barska did ok?
