You are way off the mark, brother... The Glock doesn't "twist" any more than any other pistol you're limp-wristing. Hold onto to that thing and it's a gentle ride. Plastic is the future - doesn't crack like SIGs. Keep in mind I have a very nice P228 myself.
SIGs aren't banned for sale - maybe hi-cap magazines in some states, but that's it.

differences, arent they great!
i called sig and asked about our guns and was told that the 228 has been discontinued. i was under the impression that it was discontinued for 'civilian' purchase and was only available for law enforcement. needless to say, the gun was replaced by the 229...
