If you can't afford it - then tough luck for you but it's not the Bugatti's or Koenigsegg's fault. You as a owner just happen to be a tad bit short of hyper to own a true hypercar.
Wow with all due respect that is the biggest load of .... i have read so far in 2012.

Poor mans hyper car..hell i wish it was so i could buy it.
At a million euro price tag, still calling it a poor mans car..Either you must have inherited billions or probably never worked a single day in your life. As only a person with no value for money can make a statement like that.

Less than stellar performance numbers you say?
The Zonda F held the N-Ring record for a long time, and bested its competition significantly:
7:27:82 and to this day there has been no production car on non slick tires to beat that time.
And the Zonda R did it in 6:47 yes SIX FORTY SEVEN..even though its a track only car, that is by any measure a stupendous time.

Last time i checked a standard veyron or agera were in the 1 million euro ball park..So affording has nothing to do with the issue.

And then there is the fact that it was Pagani's first car Zonda against competition like the Enzo and Carrera GT made by the company's who brought supercars to this world 100 years ago.

PS
Oh and they sell for double what they cost when new, and people with hard earned money always love a good deal, no matter how rich.. But what would you know about that

Rant mode off

How can someone blame Koenigsegg about innovation?

So their camless engine should come in 2050 to satisfy current owners? I'd love to see them adopt a flat plane crank too.

Koenigsegg needs to adopt a similar model, rather than constantly drip feeding updates that just confuses the market, resulting in very low resale values and leaves the customer wondering if the car he is looking at is the right one to have
I thought you could do this with KSegg cars? For example, sending a CCX back and having it updated to CCXR level.

Calm down people! I did not mean to offend anyone and like I said I would prefer a Huayra if I was a collector. The fact that it lacks appeal in other areas doesn't take away from what a great car it is (so are all three), but you're seriously fooling yourself if you've got it pegged as the "one car to rule them all". It's not quite that simple and your adding far too much personal preference into your argument if you think that it is.

^I am very interested to hear in what areas it lacks.

Cause Price, Resale or Performance were not any of the lacking areas.

Or is it so that you like the 2 other better?

That is not called lacking that is called personal preference, and if so im sure no one will argue with you.

Like I explained in my first post it depends what you mean by "liking them better". As a work of art I prefer a Pagani, as a fun toy I prefer a Koenigsegg and as a statement I prefer a Bugatti.

Our disagreement here as I interpret it is that it's all Pagani or nothing with you guys and it's above critique. And that's perfectly fine. Just know that there other ways to look at it and that your opinions aren't facts. There is no need to force them down other peoples throats just because you happen to have a preference.

^No one is forcing anything down your throat.
I just stated facts.
The price, lap times and resale value are facts not opinions.

Your free to take any car over the Huayra, does not bother us.
But you can not say that it lacks in areas where it clearly does not.
And when called upon to highlight what areas it lacks in, you have no answer.

I think im gonna get off your back now

I just don't want to get into a heated debate over this very minor issue, mate.

Thanks.

DD again I think you are getting this wrong. Yes I admit I prefer the Pagani. But my response to your statements was questioning the validity of those statements. Preference is always going to be subject, but when you make a statement like calling the Pagani "a poor man’s hypercar" that statement is clearly wrong as I hope I have illustrated above.

There are lots of things I admire about the other two, the sheer brilliance of the Veyron’s technical make up and its outstanding straight line performance. The Koenigseggs constant search for a new solutions, but here's the thing.

The Veyron only exists because VW are willing to underwrite a massive loss on each and every car it builds, so from a business point of view it is a dead duck.

Koenigseggs constant tweaking of its cars does nothing to encourage customer loyalty and has had a detrimental effect on their used car values, which in turn affects Koenigsegg directly. Yes continue to develop but roll out those developments in a new car, ask any business analysts in the car world and they would agree with me.

No one can disagree that Pagani's business model has been a lot more successful than the other two. In near enough the same period it has produced over 50% more cars than Koenigsegg, the company has no borrowings and is debt free and each and every car has been very profitable, in some cases more than once for the company.

The Huayra has again been developed without the need for outside financing.

So again I say all three cars are great and will appeal to different people for different reasons and I can say this from close personnel experience. But if it was my money I know where it would go
