"Manchester City are set to hijack Arsenal's deal for Andrei Arshavin after agreeing an £18million deal with Zenit St Petersburg, according to the Sunday Mirror. The 27-year-old striker flew into London last week amid speculation he was poised to join the Gunners; but City have stormed into pole position.
Meanwhile, the Mail on Sunday claim that Arsenal are poised to increase their bid for Arshavin to £12million after Zenit rejected their initial £10 million offer.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has made Olympique Lyon striker Karim Benzema his main summer transfer target, according to the News of the World. And United's pursuit of the 21-year-old Frenchman means the end of Carlos Tevez at Old Trafford.
Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a £10million swoop for Wigan Athletic midfield star Wilson Palacios, reports The People. Harry Redknapp's bid for the Honduran has left Latics manager Steve Bruce fearing his side could be torn apart.

I don't think that Arshavin going to city is crazy I think they'll be good pretty quick however I hope he ends up at Arsenal I really think they need him and he can make an impact

Just go to City, Arsenal is on the way down. Since they're still owned by the fans they wont have the economical(!?) power to compete with United, Chelsea and Liverpool in 2-3 years time. And, City is on the rising with their new owner, would be fun if they add 3-4 big names to Robinho. Wonder what they could do then.....
