Elion_Arro is an unknown quantity at this point
I find it funny that Pagani criticized McLaren for using the same tub and engine for the P1. This is just brilliant business. If Ferrari had made the 458 with a carbon tub (which they should have) they would've used it too. And if they weren't fixed on making it a V12 they would've used the engine as well.
Sorry Horacio, I think maybe you should stick your nose elsewhere until you can get your Huayra up to speed with these 2...

Horrible decision in my view - almost unforgivable.

Also (since you asked) I have never been a big fan of the Huayra. No doubt the Zonda was in need of being replaced so things had to change, but the Huayra isn't what I would have expected. Maybe in subsequent configurations they will fix the face and give the car more power - that will help.

I don't run around blasting my opinion because no one should care what I think, but take a product I don't like and then cheat to make it look more impressive, then lie about it when caught and perhaps now you can understand better my recent comments. You see it as being blown out of proportion - I strongly disagree.

I can respect that mate. The Huayra is a Marmite car (Not sure if the reference translates in America) but I too was not immediately enamoured by the Huayra. Personally I think it will be a grower. Remember it will be around for at least ten years. I am expecting the F version to look even better.

As for the TG situation, much as we may want to highlight it on here, in the medium to long term it will have little or no effect on the company or its sales and will just become another historical footnote like all the other documented cheating incidents from other manufacturers.

As for the future of the car, well in its current configuration it is in a very low state of tune but it still manages to out torque the P1, the LaFerrai and the 918 with 738lb ft. And these are small low pressure turbo's so the potential for large power and torque increases are huge in a car that weighs less dry than the P1 does dry.

Pagani won’t be challenging for lap records in the future with the P1 and the LaFerrari around. It’s a very different car. But at least you will be able to drive one across Europe at very silly speeds with your luggage on board. The same cant be said for the others

After seeing the P1 from different angles, both inside and outside I came to some sort of distinct conclusion that this car really does look a bit like MP4-12C on steroids, same goes for tech, yes, its on a different level, yes, the amount of work is incredible, but still this doesn't change the fact if this matters. Does it make the P1 less desirable? No, no and one more time no, I see it as sort of family DNA instead of just plain lack of completely new tech and design, it was useless to create it from the scratch when they were lucky to have such a good base to work with. I can't say I'm in love, but I do like this car and if I couldn't get my hands on LaFerrari I would go after P1, no doubt.

Speaking about Huayra, it is definitely not a direct competitor to the LaFerrari and P1. It's different, just different, not good or bad, fast or slow, but just different and I have mixed feelings about this car to be honest. Horacio nailed it with the Zonda, perfect car for that times, unique in all ways and will be an object of desire for the years to come. Huayra is not bad, in sort of such "boutique" feeling is has no competitors, but in terms of purchase I really don't know, it wouldn't be my first choice, heck, not even second or third. The whole short history of Huayra seems to be surrounded by problems and delays. UK car was supposed to be delivered in summer 2011, its 2013 now and I suppose that red RHD car is that going to be finally delivered to UK customer, they were supposed to build 40 a year, but in two years time they managed to build some 7 cars. Horacio said that Huayra will be made to comply all US regulations from the very beginning, but now it doesn't have the right airbag system, how it could happen that they didn't managed to look at the basic US car safety norms that are in usage for decade and a half? And after showing the car twice in the States and delaying the deliveries now we have a promise to deliver first US bound car in June, but it seems impossible, test aren't passed and even if they do pass them in spring with their anemic turtle speed they'll never manage to build one till the end of summer. Not to mention that Singapore customers are still waiting for their cars, first was supposed to arrive early fall 2012, but it spring 2013 and the car isn't even in production. May be with time they'll step up and become absolutely credible in all ways, but as for now I wouldn't be ready to pay such monies for so many unknown entities as they are in all that Huayra story. For the perfect drive across Europe or up and down the PCH I would take an Aventador Roadster and some change in my pocket, call me crazy, but I really think that way.

And now the third car - LaFerrari, absolute modern-days perfection for me. I remember the first opinions about Enzo 10 years ago and how that progressed with time, same will repeat here, when the first cars will start to pop up in the most desirable spots on the planet, when it will blow the competition for good, rare real enthusiast will not be in love with this cars.

With all that said I'm not in the market for such car, I'm slowly looking for my first pre-ownerd supercars, but such big dogs are definitely out of my reach, so its just a humble expression of personal opinion.
