I've never used them but a guy I used to ride with swore by them in 2.1" form. He was slow as hell on the way down though, not sure if that was tires or skill.

One year IDK how many years ago I watched the 3 hour recap every night and spent the entire time riding my spin cycle in front of the TV. Always worked great as I'd get 60 plus miles a night on it. Not their distance but it ended up being a good month of riding for me.

That would be awesome , I really want to get a road bike for that reason also...
Slacker you ever use that stans tubeless kit? My bike is a pig at 35 lbs... Thinking about changing minor stuff on it, for weight but more for fun haha

Went on a ride with the directors again today. Climbing with so much travel (and no lockout) isn't fun. But that doesn't mean it's impossible! It's certainly tough, but it makes the downhill sections afterwards so much more awesome when I know I'm rolling over everything. Gonna need a Joplin post if I'm gonna be wanting to go from sitting to standing so often though.
All in all, very much enjoying this new facet of cycling. Still getting used to low gearing, huge bars, and a bouncy ride but all in all, very cool.

That I did! I'm enjoying it. I'm slowly getting more and more comfortable with it...definitely not a lot of crossover from road, so it's like learning to ride again. But I think that makes things fun.

Did a little TT to figure out mypace on the SS. 10 minutes warmup then 20 minutes at a good sustained (but not all out) pace. 15.5 mph average, only 300 ft elevation gain which is as flat as it gets out here. Climbing I had to get out of the seat a few times but the main issue is just running out of gear on flats/downhill. That average could get a lot higher pretty easy. Oh well, as I've said a couple times before, I gotta get a real roadie.
