I eat about a dozen a week. Recent studies have showed that there is no correlation between cholesterol and egg consumption.

I go through phases where I'll eat an obnoxious amount of eggs... Usually do it every other month.

I'll boil a dozen at once, and I go through them within 48 hours. Usually eat them 6 at a time, and I have 2 yolks for every 6 egg whites. (Just did this about 5 minutes ago too)

Realistically I probably don't go through more than 2 dozen a week.

I used to eat a lot of eggs when I was bulking up. Great source of protein and, depending on how they're prepared, healthy.

That said, I haven't touched an egg in a while. For whatever reason, I feel like I'm weighed down when I begin my morning cardio regimen if I eat eggs before it. That and I don't particularly need the protein (I think I get enough for what I need to do).

If you want to start packing on protein, go for it!

I usually eat about 4 eggs a day. Cheap and easy protein. I got tired of them after a while, but Tabasco sauce fixed that.

The best way to do morning cardio is prior to breakfast, on an empty stomach. Your body is still in starvation mode at this point, and you will burn calories more efficiently doing morning cardio this way.

AFTER you do your morning cardio, have your egg whites. EVERYONE needs protein (generally 15 grams per lb of body weight if you are working out).

There is a ton of debate about morning cardio. BBers and fitness folks see it as canon, scientists argue both ways. I prefer to eat first personally but many people feel weighed down after a big breakfast.

Egg consumption is fine, fit it into your regular calorie requirements. If you like eggs that is, if not there are other ways to get protein. I don't like omelets every day, much prefer the pancake method.

Going out for a run was not the best idea, considering it was 90+ out..

I used to do that. But my performance is much better when I don't get hungry in the middle of it (and I can't Clif Bar it in the middle of a swim). It might not be as effective, but it's worked out well enough for me.
