R-

the owner is working with me a lot, it's not about a lack of help.... It's a mental thing that I feel like I just am not "getting it"! Maybe my expectations are too high and that it takes time to really learn these moves.

Using a wooden dowel, and then into just a light bar helped a lot in in the process. As well as the instructors extra attention for a while.

Oly lifts are a skill sport. They require a good deal of coordination and technique. Is the instructor working on breaking down the moves for you? As in high pulls to work on the start of your clean/press, overhead squats with no weight, etc....?

well it is comforting to know i'm not the only one... Hard to take your instructors word on the "your not the only one" being that he isn't going to say "you suck, go back to big box gym". I am going in early tomorrow to work on form.

My thoughts exactly. It takes a lot of time to develop the muscle memory neeeded for these moves.

Dude, I SUCK at any jerk; period. I can clean and press and deadlift the world, but jerks give me problems, so I work on them with a 45 # bar before I do a WOD. You will get there Daniel-san.

Yes he is... He does a great job, again this is more a mental thing for me than a physical thing....
