Never thought I would be giving out health tips to you fitness maniacs but here are a few I usually go by.

Diet - Oatmeal for breakfast, 1/2 can of salmon and raw broccoli for lunch, pretty much open for dinner (whatever the wife decides or if we eat out).
***Hardly ever eat fast food.
***Do drink beer a 2-3 days a week.

Fitness - I work out 7 days a week at the gym (haven't taken a shower at my house in recent memory).
One day is some kind of resistance/core (dumbells, push-ups, pull-ups, lunges, leg raises, etc.)
Next day is aerobic (usually run for an hour).
Followed by another resistance day.
Repeat for 7 days/52 weeks a year for the last 30 years or so.

Thanks again - I am truly humbled and feel lucky to be injury free and healthy to continue.

I wish I've had time to hit up the gym lately. I feel like such a POS. I've had a back injury and now I've come down with a stomach virus.

Still eating and taking my vitamins to my normal meal plan.

We are what we do consistently, if you're going to eat something bad or skip a workout, try to habitualize a mental pause. Then THINK do I want to eat this? Do I want to blow off my workout?

There isn't anything wrong with doing it every once in a while, but you want to make a CONSCIOUS choice to do it or not. If you let your subconscious decide, guess what it's gonna choose?

^^ I watched at some old photos from 1,5year up until 1month ago and realized I've lost quite a bit of form. Lately I've been slacking with the diet even though I hit the gym regularly. So, this past weekend I decided that no alcoholic beverage unless I really, really, want to go out with the boys (not beer in front of the TV etc) and no junk food. Yesterday when all my friends ordered pizza I went and bought a take away salad with chicken, egg, ham and some vegetables. I did treat myself with a small bag of potato chips (40g) when I got home though ...since I didn't drink any alcohol nor did I eat any junk food I thought I was worth it . Although, in the long run I'm cutting those things as well.

Btw- I've cut out all dairy during this trimming phase. I'm not a big milk guy anyway, but no yogurt was a big one I guess. No eggs, never really liked those. This wasn't really planned, it just worked out that way.

So I realized..... I'm a vegan!! Except for the eating lots of meat part.
