I say skip it on Friday and try it on Monday! Register for the open ya big Panzy!!
Not looking forward to it. I suspect to see some vomit on Saturday Morning.
Again! Sign up! What do you have to lose. I think it'll be great to see just how much separates us from the very best. Not a sport I can think of where you can do that.

I already know how much I hate those burpees. I only like half of it which would be the pushup part.
I've been doing the "benchmark" WOD challenges for the last couple of months so the Filthy Fifty is another one that I gotta do by Sunday. Naw, I have no interest in trying out for the Crossfit Games. I'm more interested in the other races that I've already signed up for such as the Tough Mudder, the Ski to Sea race and my first full marathon. I watched the Xfit games a couple months ago and man, those guys are serious! I had no idea that most of them were already coaches/owners of these gyms. Now it all makes sense why one of mine has been training like crazy for the game. He has a chance I think, more than me, that's for sure. I watched him do 559 double unders with 135 lbs snatches in about 10 minutes. No way I can even come close to that.
I'm not very strong but I have the endurance on my side so that has helped me consistently break into the top ten finishers at my "box." I still think that's a funny nickname for a gym.

I have ZERO expectation of making the games or even Regionals for that matter. I just think it will be a great atmosphere and a great way to see how I measure up against friends who do Crossfit all around the country.

Better get training! It seems that most of the top people don't have day jobs anymore. Nearly all of the top 15 from last year are affiliate owners or trainers. I think Josh Bridges is one of the few that doesn't own a box or coach. The government keeps him busy enough though.

Got some good news yesterday. Should start with light weights next week and be ready to get back into things all the way by the beginning of next month.
Did the burpee WOD today. Not happy with my score
round 2 in the morning to see how much I can improve.
Seeing as that was the last nights WOD, it was substituted as the warmup for those of us who missed yesterday.
Today's WOD:
10 minute AMRAP
3 muscle ups
5 dead lifts
7 box jumps
Substituted star jackknife complex for the MU's. Got 8 rounds.
