Hahaha GLN! I am probably about 220 right now, am am nowhere near as bulky as that guy. And no, I can't do 55 pull-ups straight. My record for dead-hangs was 39, and that was when I was 190 pounds and focused on them. I hate pull-ups, and only do them because they are HIGHLY functional.

Pullups are even a staple for powerlifters as you can see with that konstatin vid. They truly are "functional", whether your function is deadlifting a lot, or pulling yourself up through a bedroom window.

My "functional" use of them is doing pull-ups outside of Benihanas in Houston. Ben knows what I'm talking about.

I think you are confusing me and Raiff! He's not a small guy LOL!

Yes that and "box jumps" outside of Kung Fu.

I'm not saying Raiff is small lol. I'm saying that guy in the video looks as if he's 275-300lb [though I may be completely wrong as it's difficult to guess weight/muscle] - and Raiff [at 220lb] said somewhere that he was doing 100 pull-ups with a 45lb weight tied to him. Based on how hard I struggle with pull-ups and what I see the Arnold's at my gym do, what Raiff is able to do is in-fvcking-credible - freak-of-nature-ish.

100 in a row, or multiple sets? I'm 160 and can bang out 100 reps within a reasonable time, but nothing like a single set. I'd do 'em in sets of 5 with 45 personally for best time.

I may be completely wrong here..

I believe he did 100 in a row with kipping, and without kipping and going to full lock-out he said 75 broken into a few sets.

No, I didn't do 100 in a row, even with kipping. I did 75 broken into sets with a 45# vest.

Just did spin bike intervals, 5 minute warmup, 5 sets of 1 minute work (sprinting at max effort), 5 minutes cooldown. So much work in so little time.
