Drove a GT3 for the first time....got let down

On the basis of me always relying on the expertise of people entertaining themselves with 'spirited' and most likely careless drives on public roads, mostly along with other cars having matching painted lips on their rims in cars they 'can't afford' over listening to actual track junkies, I will immediately remove the GT3 from my wanted list.

I think "not feeling fast" is an inherent character of cars with relatively small high revving NA engines (at least ones with out crazy power to weight ratios) - cause there is really no one point in the RPM range where you feel a thump - the "oh shit" movement. The speed just builds up smoothly. Having said that, I have only driven a GT3 once - a 997.2 and was "wtf, this thing is insanely fast" but then again I am coming from a E36 M3, so I guess it is all relative.

I owned a 997.1 and 997.2 GT3 and you are correct it is not. Very fast car compared to my Turbo S or my GTR , I prefer the sound of the NA engine in the 3 but when it comes to instantaneous street power the TTS is the beast...if you see the video from 2009 with Walter Rohrl discussing his personal automobiles he mentions he uses the TT for street, the GT3 is a much better suited track car due to better control with the NA motor.

i guess it helps to understand what youre driving so that your comparisons and expectations are in line. nice try at slamming the gt3.
do yourself a favor and go buy the car anyway. make sure you post a different review after you make the purchase.
