I find this interesting and am willing to commit after I see how the plan finally shakes out. One thought/concern I have is whether it makes sense to rent cars in the UK. Nearly all the people who would be interested in renting a car will be left hand drivers and, presumably, all cars provided in the UK will be righties, which would be awkward for us.
Anyway, if there is another American (heteros only) who's interested in possibly splitting a rental, I might be down with that.

Sounds like a great trip ! As some of you might remember I do these type of trips annually so I'm pretty familiar with those arrengements, I would like to help if you need any assistance and especially If you guys wanna stop at the Nurburgring, I can arrange almost everything there for you and would be happy to show you guys around too if you would like... Let me know, if you need my help guys !

Guys just checked around with a few friend…
1. Axa is the most reasonable insurance company in the area that will do this for us… I am sure if we go as a group we can get a sensible deal
2. Gulf Air Cargo this summer offered a deal that basically adds up to BD4,000 (USD10,000) to fly your car to and from
