Picked up the car. 30 minutes of driving stopped for dinner.

Both headlights were full of condensation. Its fine if they would have said this was normal, but they didn't tell me that.

They said don't worry, this is was included in the service bulletin from October. I purchased my car in November. They were waiting for it to occur until they attempted to reseal them?

So now the reseal didn't do shit since they condensed again. Now what?

How the F do you purchase a 200K car that is advertised as just a total bad ass ride, and the AMG Tech tells you to "leave the headlights on for 10 minutes" to get rid of condensation? give me a break, my civic doesn't have a single issue with its headlights, why cant this? Id complain until you got them replaced with a new set until they didn't leak anymore. What is that going to do in 100K miles? its probably gonna look like a 1993 Ford escorts yellowed headlights

Can u please ask ur service advisor for the exact detail of the bulletin and also which dealership do u service the car too? I want to let my advisor know about the specifics of this "bulletin" so that they cant BS anymore. At least ur adviser is admitting that there is a bulletin regarding this, My advisor pretended that there is no such thing. I would let them try and fix it one or two more time then If this still happens, I would suggest that u ask for them to replace the headlights or get the car lemoned. I am pretty sure most SLS owner just does not pay attention to this detail as there are not many owners who like to enjoy staring at the car after driving em, like we dov (At least I know I do, thats how I found out + ur post). The condensation happens during driving and it will still be visible after so this shows that my adviser is talking crap when he said its normal, the way he mentioned it is that the condensation is supposed to go away after 10 min of turning the headlights, but the only reason that the condensation is there is because u turned on the headlights for sometime and it will stay there if the weather is cold. I believe that this is going to be a real pain in the ass to settle as MB would rather just sweep it under the rug and pretends that nothing happen. Lets pray that its not gonna be the case!
worst case scenario I found this website, maybe we make our case here-

I totally agree with u here! There is no way a 200K car should have this kind of quality, what a joke! Totally disappointing... Bisan I think we should just keep on pushing the dealer until they do something about this.At the very least get them to admit that its a defect and replace the lights!

30 minutes after leaving the dealer tonight, stopped for dinner and noticed both headlights were full of condensation.

Blah blah blah! I called MB USA complaining this afternoon, about how they haven't responded to my complaint in 5 days. They stated they've tried calling me twice.

NEWS FLASH: My phone never leaves my side. I am the easiest person to get in touch with if I want to talk to you! I call BS!!!!

Small update: Seems to be that Mercedes has been trying to contact us, for a few days now. We have no history of this, but if they are at least its a step in the right direction.

So hopefully we get somewhere on this sooner than later!

Cheers.

They took care of my problems and it seems right the AMG specialist knows what he is talking about. I am back to loving AMG now!
