Trouble updating iphone 4 to OS5

tried the new notification centre on a friend's phone today
so i'm currently syncing my iphone to the new t520 before updating to os5
i was impressed with the convenience of the new notifications (esp when screen is closed) but i forgot to check if i can now see how many emails have been received?

yeah Kev, apparently it's been available on blackberries for a while now! friends who tried os5's notification centre weren't impressed.
i thought the sliding of the contact's missed call to call them straight away was cool
i just need to find an icon to tell me how many emails are received (and on which acc) + would be AWESOME if there was a name even - wishful thinking but that would literally make my life a lot easier since i practically use the iphone for work more than i do my laptop

Today was the first time I've connected it to my PC in months... It's my only current Apple product so I have no real reason to sync it.

I bought my daughters both 32 GB iPhone 4s today for $199 each!
What a deal!!
They only had those two left and said that they will no longer be making the standard iPhone 4 in anything but 8 GB from now on.
