i managed to update to os5
but now i can't open any app not even twitter or facebook.
just shut down phone and restarted, same problem

 

Wow you guys are having so many problems... I haven't had any. My 3GS is actually running faster than usual also.

OS is installed but none of my apps came over

 

This. So much for Apple 'User Friendliness'. Unless this gets fixed I highly doubt that I'll ever buy another Apple product.

 

synced apps again (after os5 installed) to itunes
everything working now again except i think i deleted Photo Album (app which you keep photos in password-protected)


raul & sutler: did you back up your apps on itunes?
you should have received a message from itunes telling you that you should do that before continuing with the os update

sorry to learn of your trouble but did you actually backup and sync your apps to itunes BEFORE?
i did before, and i just did AFTER as well to get them working on the phone again
