PDK - Am I the only one who thinks it sucks?

Stoppie: I told the dealer to contact me if they get a 991S manual in stock. Hopefully, that happens soon. I really want to like the 991. It seems like a hell of a car. It just needs to be more visceral and raw.
The freaking scumbag sales guy told me that he had a manual 991S in stock the day before I came in and it turned out they only had PDK when I got there. That's the second time something like that has happened to me with a car salesman in the last few years. Why do many of them have to be such scumbags? Why not just tell me the truth that he doesn't have one but will call me when he does?

Honestly, I know you did it, but I don't think I could daily drive that clutch in the Brentwood to DTLA traffic every day.

Oh, the 991S is clearly faster than my Maz, which weights 1000 pounds more. But, I hate to admit it, I much more enjoy driving the Maz overall. And I used to be one of the biggest Porsche fan bois around. While fast, there is no excitement or passion in driving a 991S. I drove my buddy's 997S right after driving the 991S and I much preferred that to the 991S, even though it was slower.

Funny story about my 991S test drive. I was of course driving the car quite aggressively around the Beverly Hills area and I may have been exceeding the speed limit by an exponential factor at times. When I got back to the dealership, there was a Bev Hills cop cruiser just sitting there right in front of the entrance to the dealer lot. He never said anything to me. But I am sure that he was waiting there to make sure I was aware of his presence.

No, BMW marketing sucks.
They should have NEVER made M do automatic modes.
The SMG's were perfect when driven in the manual mode for a person used to drive stick shift cars.
You know, lift for smooth shift, downshift when you need power, and if you lift abruptly at low speed, clunks just like real stick shift.
I would take the E46 M3 SMG over the crappy Audi auto upshift and smooth as autotragic DSG any day.
The dual clutch stuff feels too autotragic to me.

Get it, then if you don't like it, swap the lease out.
