Porsche are full of surprises....yet, I still believe that Porsche will run for the "green" race but will still remain petrol heads... at least I hope so!

Hiding the brakes. Must be some sort of new braking technology.

In regards to this new model, as long as they don't go cheapy on the car like the 996, than I'm not worried. Porsche always impresses.

With the 996, Porsche shared the dash and the headlights from the boxster. To me that was kinda cheap.

I'm not saying its a bad car at all though.

Drive one back to back with a 993 and 997 and you'll quickly figure it out, unless you're Helen Keller.

I can pretty much put my hand on my heart and say that the 998 will not have a PDK transmission aswell as a Manual transmission. However on the Pagani Zonda Cinque that has a Manual Transmission and Paddle Shifters so it is definitely not impossible to do...

I'm about 99% sure that it won't happen, but I just posted this for speculation. There's always that possibility. Maybe Porsche's trying to make the PDK shifter a bit more like a manual so when you use that to shift it feels like a manual. You never know.

It simply looks like the same key design as with the Panamera and new Cayenne. Still uses a physical key fob (probably in the shape of the car), but now an electronic design.

If Porsche was going to go the Start Button route, we would have seen it in the Panamera/Cayenne, not one of the sports cars.

Couldn't the brakes be hiding a regeneration system for a hybrid system?
