Thank you! Luckily my first Porsche was a 993 C2, and my second Porsche is a 997.2 C4S!!!

Porsche needs to start getting a little greener. Besides, I'm sure that with regenerative braking, push to pass buttons will come as well

Auto, Motor & Sport says it will feature start/stop technology and a reduced weight compared to the 997 to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. They also mention something about changed engine periphery and electric power steering to achieve the same goals. Not really sure what the periphery thing is all about...

I'm personally not a fan of the start/stop technology. Its so annoying if you want to turn into another street and you have to wait a few seconds till the traffic is gone. Experienced it in the Panamera. A button for it would be better. And I also questioned myself, what's better for fuel saving, starting the engine new because of a 3 seconds stop or letting the engine run for 3 secs?

But Weight reduction is pretty much the most effective thing you can do in terms of fuel saving and driving dynamics, so this is a good step in the right way!

I completely agree with you, but i could have sworn there was a button to turn it off. Any panny owners know about this?
