I'm sure you throw on some wheels, nasty exhaust, maybe upgraded wing, and it'll get you out front. I just hate Valeting my car anywhere... They prob put it out back so they can get some quick acceleration runs in

I get WAYYYY WAYYYY more attention in the r8 than I do the black series or my old cobalt blue 996 gt3...hell, even my merc gets more attention than my porsche ever did...IMHO thats what I love about porsche though.

IMHO, perfect car for the hills for me would be a dbs...that I will say though...

hold on. let me see if i understand your situation correctly. you get to drive a selection of awesome cars, one of them being a 911TT. the situation in LA is such that your awesome cars don't draw too much attention to yourself, thus not making you a potential target of theft +/- violence. you get to drive this car daily and still remain incognito, making you the envy of most celebrities. what was the problem again?

oh yea, respect? get a fake cop badge and slip a subcompact SigSauer in your belt. flash as needed. jk

seriously though, fack other people's respect man, especially in LA. just my 2 cents.

Again, you misunderstand.. I dont care where they park it.. Its how people percieve Porsche as a brand.. Ive always considered Porsche to be a dream car for most, and the reality is that it is not.. Thats the point I dont understand.. I guess Porsche has just watered the mark down too much compared to how it was percieved when I was young and developed a love for the brand.

Not here. Underground lot, no access to streets, no kids parking cars..

I drive my TT as a daily in the summer. I love the fact that it's sort of "stealth", moreso than the other cars. I kinda find it funny that the average joe thinks it's like a boxster or 'regular' 911. I agree, it's still a Porsche and they should know better, it's an awesome car. But I bought it for me not them. So if no one else notices, I don't really mind. And the folks that love cars, well they know, so that's cool.

Still, I gotta say that I agree with you about your first point though, I just don't get that the car jockey's don't understand it.......
