He doesn't care about pissing off Porsche owners. As I stated before, people here apparently are WAAAAAY too worried about what other people think about their cars. I could care less if people think my 911 is pedestrian. It was a dream of mine to own a 911, and I feel very fortunate to have attained that dream.
A 911 is a nice car, I like Porsches, but sometimes another car can get in front and you just have to accept that.

This is a funny thread.
LOL @ all the newbies giving advice to Allan like he's car shopping.
Last time I stayed at the SLS Hotel, up front was a Spyker, SLR, a few Murci's and a couple of F430s, and this was on a Tuesday.

You don't understand my point at all. "Another car can get in front"??? WTF is that. I have ZERO desire to own a Lamborghini and there are probably only a couple of Ferraris I'd ever consider (430 Scud and 599 GTB). The only other car that really tugs at my heart strings is the Aston V8/V12 Vantage. Does that mean it's "in front" of Porsche? I think your outlook is what perpetuates this nonsense.

I am with Chris from Cali. I buy what I want, i could careless about what anyone else thinks. I always wanted a Porsche from the time I was 10 or so. In my opinion and most folks opinion they are the benchmark. Sure, there are more exotic and expensive around but how many do it as well and as reliable as the Porsche 911, none
I guess I am more secure with my manhood than most
