I do think though that for the member who bought the 2010 TT and got their refund after they pointed out the incentives to the dealer and the dealer seemed not to know about the incentives, that that strikes me as odd. How could a Porsche dealer not know the incentives being offered when my dealer clearly did? It would seem that the incentives are there to help sell cars and that the dealers would know all about them. I am glad that i was able to save you $15,000 but it does seem strange to me that you had to approach the dealer and not the other way around. Maybe i am too cynical but if my dealer said that we have incentives now that are gonna save me money i would be greatful but to have to bring it to their attention seems like they are trying to pull a fast one and not give the incentive offered. If i knew about it then a dealer certainly should have.

Thanks for putting things in perspective. I certainly wont be complaining about my deal again as i signed the papers fair and square. Time to drive the car fast and look in the windshield and not the rearview mirrow!!!
at first i was very mad, after learning about the dealer incentive from this board and not from my dealer. i called a few dealers to confirm it first, and even they had to look into it. it doesn't seem like the 1 week special incentive was well popularized at dealers. so when my dealer acted like he didn't know, i wasn't sure what to believe. but my ultimate goal was to get the incentive, which i did. while i still partly wonder if they withheld the info from me, i am going to give them the benefit of the doubt and view it as an oversight. it is a good dealer i believe, and one that i want to have a lasting relationship with. and at the end of the day, my $6,500 off became $13,000 off. love the car, was happy with the initial deal, and now obviously ecstatic about the deal. can't beat that. and as sparkhill says, now time for some mods. waiting for more exhaust options to become available, but i think i am going with the tubi street when it comes out in a few weeks.

Again that is a huge issue in my mind if the dealers dont know about the incentives. That is their job! The fact that multiple dealers dont know what Porsche is offering is worrisome/troubling. It would seem that these incentives help sell cars and that publicizing them to attract customers would be a priority especially in this economy. What do you think Stoppie?

You could interpret the data multiple ways. But I agree, it is troubling. I think it's clear even Porsche is trying hard at attempting to figure out what's the best mixture to ignite sales.

This is a bizarre economy we're living in.

Me personally? I'd get my Porsche, and drive around with a big you-know-what grin.

Warm weather+Porsche 911= Happy Happy.
