I like the carrera but if I was looking to start a collection I would not start with the gold watch. You can find far better watches in that price range

Both seem to be decent choices although i havent owned either

My advice would to to go try on an Omega speedmaster. It just feels proper.

Really? Hmmm... I've been offered a new one at £5800, I know they're ltd edition but didn't know they were going for that much.
