When does your collection require a Rolex?
#82
Looks like a few Houston guys thought they should have a Rolex or 20 in their collections as well
See video of daring Rolex heist in the Galleria - Houston Chronicle
I've got to quote a few posts from another Forum cuz...I was busting up.
Nice to see our youth motivated to work quickly as a team for a common goal. Their parents should be proud.
You have problems fencing 'really high end" items...
Rolex here is the 'Timex' of the Pawn Shops, seriously......
Naaa. Rolex has much better street cred. ANY Rolex will net you $100 on the street. You're lucky to get $50 for an AP flashed from your jacket
400K retail, but who pays retail. I bought a good Rolex in New York for 25 dollars.

I probably should have made the post "When does it makes sense to add a Rolex to your collection" rather than "require" as that is what I was getting at.
The answer I walked away with is never if you don't like um. I like one, the Milgauss. I think the blacked out sutff is cool, but that is bastardization a expensive watch...might as well buy a POS Nixon.
I really like that the Milgauss would offer me versatility in wearing it with pretty much anything, but it's not a high point for me, so as watches are emotional, I'll likely never own one.
I was hoping to stir the pot a little with my "7" comment...looks like it worked! Except for Mark who needs to rethink his collection and purchase another Rolex here pretty soon, there's a shopping mall, strip mall pawn shop or some homme on the corner waiting to hook him up day or night.
