I have an Rolex, but not one of them looking all the same, anyway, to answer the topic, I would never buy a watch just for the reason that my watchcollection require one.

I only buy beacause I want it!

I'm not a huge fan of Rolex either. I do like how they have stayed true to their designs for so long.

Only one I ever think about picking up is a "transitional" submariner from 1981. (Year I was born) I like the idea of it and the fact that they hold their value so well and seem to be appreciating in value over time. Would be a piece that gets passed on to the kids some day.

I agree with Mark though.... Not every collection NEEDS a Rolex to make it complete. If you like the collection of Casio's that you have then all the power to you and it's a collection that makes YOU happy. Forget what other people think.

I work in the finance industry and for some reason it seems like every D-bag that makes their 1st $100k/year goes out and buys a Tag. Don't get me wrong, I like Tag's just not the main stream ones that everyone buys for their first "nice" watch. I have a Carrera Chronograph with the red needles and I love it.

To each his own.....
